The Studio
Stairway Music Academy operates inside South Creek Recording Studio — a world-class facility on Sydney’s Northern Beaches where lessons happen in the same room, on the same gear, as the records being made next door.
Lessons run with the studio fully set up. Students play through the same amplifiers, sit behind the same drum kit, and sing through the same microphones as the artists who record here. They hear themselves in a proper acoustic environment and that changes everything.
The Recording Experience
Every band program at Stairway ends with a professionally recorded session in the studio. The room is set up with cameras and proper audio capture, and the session is run with the same care as any recording date at South Creek.
Each student takes home a recording of the performance — video and audio — so they have something real to show for the ten weeks. It is usually the thing students talk about most.
